Annie Jeffs  has been in the music industry  for over  25 years, performing in bands, duos, solo, & touring Show bands, extensively across Queensland, Performing on Fraser Island at the Toyota Fishing Expo with Lee Kernigan, Supporting Australian Artists such as:  Jenny Morris, Stevie Wright (Easy Beats)  Normie Row, Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool) and on numerous occasions has sung at different venues with the world class legendary guitarist Phil Emmanuel.

              Annie is a well liked artist here on the Sunshine Coast, and it shows in her performances, working 3 to 4 nights a week “Solo, 2 x Duos .  A wonderful personality – warm & bright – creating instant rapport with her audience wherever she appears.

             Runner up twice for South East Queensland Female Vocalist of the Year Club Awards 2004/2005.

           Annie is a foundation member of the classic Show-band Instant Replay.   Several years touring  extensively  in Queensland with this group relived the music of the 50’s & 60’s, along with hits from the Super-group Abba. .

           Reaching a high point in her career in 2002 Annie released her debut Album “My Father Chair, and in 2006 released her second album “Long journey” featuring 6 of her own original material.  

           This Rockin lady of the Sunshine Coast was backup singer in

2005 – 2008 in a 9 piece Joe Cocker Tribute band

 (featuring Phil Emmanuel on guitar) performing in Sydney and Melbourne to sold out shows.

On Saturday, September 4, Canberra based DJ Gosper and the Hot Flush Blues band hit the Palmwoods stage for the first time. After a two year battle with breast cancer DJ’s passion for the blues remains as strong as ever and the award winning singer and harp player, who released her debut album “Hot Flush Blues” in 2009 is set to establish a new fan base in SE Qld on the back of  her appearances at Blues On Broadbeach earlier this year and this, her first visit to the Palmwoods stage. We realise we are not rock stars, so we will not waste your time with pages of info on our hobbies, our influences and our experience.  (Does playing second recorder in the Sale High School Orchestra 1974 – 1976 really matter?????)

What matters is that we love music, and 100% live music (no soul destroying sequencers or backing tracks). Songs from the classics that everyone loves to hit songs from today’s charts.

We all have day jobs to pay the bills, and while we would dearly love to play music full-time, the positive from this is that when you see us play, we are all having a blast and blowing off steam, just like the audience.  It’s not like we have played “Brown Eyed Girl” for the 356^th time this year, we love playing all our songs and this enjoyment on stage translates to fun and a great night for all in the audience.

Both Ray and Campbell are capable lead singers in their own right, and sharing the lead vocals on different songs adds to the variety for the listeners and also allows for strong harmonies.

Established for over 10 years, we are regarded as one of the leading cover bands on the Sunshine Coast.

Dave Evans on Bass Guitar ,Vocals and Percussion, Dave started his career over 30 years ago in the UK !! Dave has played with many notable UK artists including Toby Bourke , Tony Kylie (Blow Monkeys) Andy Mackay ( Roxy Music) and more……
Dave is the essential back bone of Velvet Kiss ! bring his unique style with special sound of the fretless bass, adding Sweet vocals ,he also plays the bongos and various other percussion instruments.

Nick Molvalis has been playing professionally for over 15 years. He has played with cover bands,original bands,tribute shows and duo’s.
Some names include: Playground, Trailer, Glockenspiel, Venus Envy, Millionaires and Teddybears, Xcellerator, Heavenscent, Zoo 2 (U2 tribute), Beaver, Astral Aliens, The Deported, Paul Lines…………………
Nick has also done various recording sessions and has toured extensively all over Australia.
Started playing drums at age 13…Nick just loves playing drums and loves music. His influences include: Sting, The Police, Skunkhour, The Butterfly Effect, Kiss, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Chick Corea, Bill evans, Joe Satriani the list goes on and on…..
