the VIBE features three of Australia’s finest musicians…. Benjy Pocock, Soni Kildey, & Marty Smith.

With a tireless work ethic that see’s theVIBE perform more than 200 shows each year, Australia wide, they have carved an undoubted reputation as one of the most talented and hardworking bands currently on the Australian music scene.

This commitment to quality musicianship and live performance has seen theVIBE nurture and build a diverse and loyal support base right across the country.

Individually the members of theVIBE have experience, ability and musical knowledge far beyond their years, and coming  together they create a musical experience rarely witnessed in a young band.

With the release of their debut album Walkaway, theVIBE have taken a quantum leap into the world of original music and if initial response to their debut effort is any indication, theVIBE have arrived.

theVIBE are widely regarded as one of this country’s most entertaining and talented original music outfits.

Twelve months on from their launch of the excellent album Walkaway with its strong songwriting talents and supreme  musicianship, hot Sunshine Coast (QLD) band theVIBE are still dragging in plenty of new fans. There’s a real energy to the band, and the first radio single and title track was a big winner with programmers and presenters around the country, and the new song Drivin’ again captures the spontaneity of an outfit that stands and delivers.

The Remedy Band

With a wealth of experience and local savvy these guys know how to deliver.

In a climate of what appears to be escalating hostility toward volume levels of live band musical performances, this five piece group has the uncanny ability to control their volume levels without compromising their performance.

They have become a popular choice of venues tired and wary of constant noise complaints but still wish to offer patrons quality live music.

Their knack of presenting a range of vintage to current classics with The Remedy Band’s stamp of professionalism guarantees a good time for all.

Together, they serve up a tight and full sound guaranteed to keep you dancing all night.

With a repertoire spanning close to four decades of classics they can, and do, please everyone who gets out to hear them. With songs by such artists as AC/DC, Cold Chisel, The Doors, Black Crows, The Eagles, Z.Z. Top, Michael Franti, Rolling Stones and many more presented with The Remedy Band’s personal touch makes this band one not to miss.

The line up consists of:

The Honey Dripper oozing tasteful and frantic solos together with a funky rhythm on guitar. This fella is a local lad well respected amongst his peers and never ceases to amaze with his playing ability and musical sense of humour.

Ricci the Rockstar on Bass whose thumping “bottom end drive” keeps the toes tapping and bodies twitching. He can also sing a mean tune whilst working his magic on the fat four string.

Jonny the keyboard man. Well what more may be said about this man but wow! Learned classical piano as a teenager until seduced away by the keyboard-driven rock of the seventies. Took a long time but we finally captured him and we ain’t lettin’ him go. Simply brilliant.

Tex Mackenzie the wandering lunatic on lead vocals. This dynamic leaper has performed everywhere from the Daintree to St.kilda and is equally at home performing a full on rock song or a smooth ballard and is the ideal frontman.

And finally Bobby”Boom Boom” on drums and vocals. With three tours of Vietnam, residencies in Thailand Singapore Hong Kong Great Keppel Island and a tour of Germany and every capital city in Oz this guy has a vast experience. He can also play and sing and is a founding member of the band.TheRemedy_bandPhoto

Aussie Boogaloo have been performing on the Sunshine Coast for over 9 years, entertaining audiences with an eclectic mix of well chosen tunes, adding their own twist to a mostly 80’s Australian and NZ set list.

Based in and around Noosa, the “Boogas” are Mark ‘Sparky’ Paltridge, (Houseprouds, Toothfaeries, and the Brixton Rockers) as well as the now infamous Erin Sulman, also of the Houseprouds, and now Drummer/percussionist with the Barleyshakes.

This self touted team have all been working professionally in and around the music industry for many years throughout the country. No strangers to the limelight, The Boogas are now playing some of the top venues on the East Coast, gaining huge popularity for their magnetic live shows and spontaneous song ad libs.
