Alan Kelly is a Dublin born singer songwriter now based on the coast. His music draws on the deep and powerful emotion of ancient Celtic cultures. He is responsible for two very diverse and successful original music events in the area, has won awards for his songwriting and also appeared as a Bodhran soloist on the Lord of the Rings motion picture soundtrack. Alan’s solo live show is action packed and full of positive, joyful energy, and surprises.

He uses a looping device, percussion and his trusty Aussie made stomp box to enhance his rich acoustic guitar sound. This makes him sound like a full band at times without the need for backing tracks. Alan posses a fine singing voice full of diversity, clarity and power.

His repertoire is extremely extensive including favourites form the last 50 years, Irish folk favourites, and some award winning originals when needed.

PETER FIELD. Peter has been a professional guitar/vocalist for over 30 years, playing with many acts in Sydney before moving to Queensland where he has played on Island resorts such as Heron Island, Great Keppel Island. Peter also played for the Sheraton Hotels organisation throughout Asia. Peter is a session guitarist/ vocalist used on many recordings over the past few years and has played for many Country music acts at the Toyota Muster and Tamworth Country Music Festival. Peter has been living on the Sunshine Coast for ten years now where he is a guitar teacher for three schools and Billy Hyde Music at Maroochydore.

BILL RYAN. Bill is a professional guitar/vocalist also from Sydney where he played with many acts over the years. Bill has performed on Great Keppel Island and Heron Island. Bill has played at the last two Gold Coast Grand Prix and at the Olympic Games in Sydney 2004. Bill and Phil Emmanuel regularly play together on the Sunshine Coast. Bill has been on the coast for many years providing great entertainment for locals with a variety of line-ups, for many years playing for the Jack Newton Classic at Twin Waters.

SEAN TAYLOR.  Sean has studied Bass guitar at the Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane, and has played Double Bass with the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra. Sean is the consummate musician, having played with Jazz ensembles to Rock bands and everything in between. Sean has been on the coast for many years playing with the well known Sunshine Coast band “Bad Habits”. Sean is also a studio musician regularly used on sessions on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.

SCOTT TREMBATH.  Scott is from Brisbane and has been drumming professionally for the past fifteen years, playing in the United States (USA) and South Africa. Scott is a session drummer for a variety of recording studios in Brisbane and has been playing a wide variety of music styles in various bands in the club scene, including many tribute shows. Scotts powerful vocals make him stand out from the average drummer.

SALLY YOUNG (lead vocals) Sally has been singing and performing professionally since the age of 10. Her strong vocal approach allows her to perform a vast range of song styles, perfect for this type of musical project. MATT RICE (guitar, back-up vocals) Matt has been involved in the music industry for over ten years in the original, covers and session projects. His experience in all of these has highlighted has overwhelming talent and professional approach to the music that he plays. Matt was awarded the 2006 Male Musician of the Year at the Sunshine Coast Music Industry Awards. PAUL HOWARD (bass) Paul has been involved the music industry for over ten years and is a former member of Melodyssey. Paul has played everything from Irish music to death metal. He has sessioned for many cover and original bands including Brisbane’s “The Butterfly Effect”. JOHN DUCLOS (drums, back-up vocals) John has a reputation as one of the Coast’s most solid drummers stemming from sixteen years of involvement in both the original and covers scene.

Janice J is a long time Sunshine Coast identity on the music scene having played solo as well as with many successful acts including the current popular rock band ‘Ultra Violet’ of which Janice is joined by two other members : on drums the charismatic Brett Hoopert and on guitars and vocals multi instrumentalist Michael Barry. Together the trio play a stripped back collection of many favourite tunes both old and new interpreted in a freeform acoustic style.  One highlight of Janice J’s shows is always crowd participation with friendly banter and sing-along’s a must. Janice J has often been described as a passionate performer and many a coast party goer will have a story to tell of being caught up in the moment and keeping the lasting memories.

We realise we are not rock stars, so we will not waste your time with pages of info on our hobbies, our influences and our experience.  (Does playing second recorder in the Sale High School Orchestra 1974 – 1976 really matter?????)

Both Ray and Campbell are capable lead singers in their own right, and sharing the lead vocals on different songs adds to the variety for the listeners and also allows for strong harmonies.
